Mārahau Cottage is an amazing spot for your next break away! It is available to Nelson / Tasman residents who have a Ministry of Education (MOE) number.
Details:
- Three bedroom cottage right across the road from the beach
- Sleeps up to a maximum of six people
- Freshly painted
- Views of the Abel Tasman National Park and Mārahau Beach
- Fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, TV and DVD player
- You will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels
- No pets, tents or caravans are permitted
The cost is $130 per night for up to a maximum of 6 people. The cottage is available over the weekend from 4pm Friday until 3pm Sunday. There is a minimum stay of two nights (Friday night and Saturday night), so the cost for the weekend is $260.
The cottage is also available over the Term 1, 2 and 3 holidays. This holiday period has a minimum length stay of 4 nights. The cost is also $130 per night for up to a maximum of 6 people.
During the summer school holidays the cottage can be rented for a week at a time at $150 per night (Friday to Friday). The cost for a weeks stay is $1,050.
The Mārahau Outdoor Education Trust, is a not for profit organisation. The trust is made up of local principals and teachers who donate their time to run the facility. All money raised goes towards helping school students experience the outdoors.
Please note that you will be responsible for cleaning the cottage and leaving it ready for the next school group to use. This model is based on trust and respect for a shared educational facility. You will need to bring your own linen and cleaning products.
