The Te Mamaku Native Corridor is an inspiring community-led initiative with a bold vision: to create a thriving native forest corridor connecting the Moutere Inlet with the Waimea Estuary.
Stretching along the SH60 Coastal Highway between Tasman and Māpua, the project is restoring native habitat to create a living pathway for native birds, insects, and people. As the forest grows, it will strengthen biodiversity and improve ecological connections between the two wetlands, and create a beautiful place for the whole community to enjoy.
