Classes teaching Tai Chi with Qigong, Ukulele and Middle Eastern Belly Dance.
Qigong (Chi Gong) can be traced back over 4,000 years, with it’s health theory being drawn from traditional Chinese medicine. It’s foundation is singular (but repeated), natural movements, combining gentle stretching and natural breathing, which increase natural bodily energy, or Chi.
Tai Chi is an extension of Qigong. It’s foundation lies in the original singular Qigong movements, combining them into a soft, gentle and flowing sequence which enhances the flow of Chi.
Tai Chi and Qigong are known for the gentle movements that help with flexibility, strength and relaxation, improved posture, increased circulation, mental focus and internal/external co-ordination (balance). As a weight-bearing exercise, it is second to none. Suitable for all levels of ability.
Gretchen started teaching Tai Chi and Qigong classes in 2003, with classes in Nelson, Stoke and Richmond.
She really enjoys working with people who want to stay active, are motivated and willing to learn something new.
