There are a number of versions of the game of croquet played worldwide.  There are two major games played internationally. The older is called Association Croquet (AC) and this is the game many people know of – probably as garden croquet. The newer and shorter game is Golf Croquet
(GC). Both versions are played in their organised form in clubs around New Zealand. Currently, GC is the preferred choice for the majority of players.
