Nau mai, haere mai; welcome.  If you or someone you care about has cancer, we’re here to help.  We offer support to you and your whānau through a cancer diagnosis and treatment; as well as  rehabilitation and support after treatment.  We cover the wider Nelson Tasman region, over to Golden Bay, Nelson Lakes and Murchison, as well as Rai Valley.

Our services are free and confidential.  Our Support Coordinator Cyndy can help with providing cancer information, navigating health services, referral to counselling, organising a support grant to ease  financial stress; as well as general support.  We also offer assistance  to get to hospital appointments, and rehabilitative yoga and gym programmes.  We have regular support groups which meet around the region, as well as a family activity each school holidays.  There’s lots we can help with, so get in touch!

We are committed to  reducing the impact of cancer in our community  through health promotion – such as Sunsmart schools, promoting smokefree environments, and our free Shadeloan scheme for non-profit groups to use for events during the summer months.

We have several major fundraising events during the year, including Relay for Life, Daffodil Day, Heritage Homes tour and our annual Cancer Society Ball  All proceeds stay within the Nelson/Tasman region. We welcome volunteers to get involved with both our fundraising activities, as well as our support services.
