Whakatu Presbyterian Church

A small, friendly parish open to welcoming anyone who would like to share our company, worship services and activities. Currently based in Stoke with plans to move to a new home in Champion Road in two years. The start of this new christian journey will also be a time for reinventing ourselves - so please join us in this new period of growth.

Description

Sunday Services, 9.45am – 271 Songer Street with Youth Group and Sunday School (Whakatu Kids).

Wednesdays Services (fortnightly) at our Richmond site – 34 Champion Road  (10am – 10.30 am service followed by a social cuppa).

Movies – Alternate fortnightly Wednesdays we hold a movie at 34 Champion Road, 10am – 12.30 pm.

Sunday – Whakatu Junior Youth Group

Youth Bible Study – Tuesdays 4 – 4.30pm.

Sunday evening monthly ‘Gathering’ around a meal with a short message – once a month for those that would like an alternative to church.

Pastoral Care – community visits and worship services in rest-homes.

Friendship Group – meet monthly.

Armchair Travellers – meet bi-monthly (speakers on travel experiences).

Winter lunches – Every Wednesday 12 noon – 271 Songer Street, Stoke.

Indoor Bowls Friday night 7pm – 271 Songer Street, Stoke.

Parish Pantry supporting food bank and Grandparents raising Grandchildren.

Bible Study evening groups.
