The Nelson Airport Perimeter Walking track is open for public use.

The walkway completely circumnavigates the airport and is an approximately 5-kilometre loop.

The easy-grade path is a local favourite, offering breathtaking views of the Kahuroa – Richmond Ranges and Wharepapa – Arthur Range across beautiful Te Tai o Aorere – Tasman Bay. Keep an eye out for the occasional service vehicle.

Free parking (P180 time limit applies) is available on Trent Drive and McLaren Drive.
