The Big Bake Up is a not-for-profit organisation, set up in July 2021 after the Westport floods devastated many homes in their region and we wanted to help in some small way.

Whether it’s some of Nana’s home baking, a beautiful cooked meal, some much needed groceries or one of our lovely care packages, we are here to provide support to those affected by something unexpected.

We receive nominations or we hear of someone deserving, we check on people after an event or natural disaster and we offer something sweet at a time when all else seems too difficult.

We love that we can offer a little kindness that may just brighten someone’s day.

We have meals available from: Wakefield School, Wakefield Playcentre, Brightwater School, Brightwater Playcentre, Pinegrove Kindergarten, Brightwater Anglican Church and Mainly Music Wakefield, Hope School, Age Concern Richmond, Plunket Nelson, Fossil Creek Farm.
