Te Manawa Women’s World Music Choir, led by Dale McDonald, has been running for 13 years.  We are an Acapella World Music Choir and sing songs in three and four-part harmony in many different languages as well as in English.  We meet every Thursday evening at the Reformed Church of Nelson, 15 Burrough Place, Enner Glynn (off Enner Glynn Road), at 7.10pm for approximately two hours, with a tea break in the middle.

It’s a lot of fun and we are happy to welcome new members into the choir, so please ring us first if you’d like to come along and listen or join in, just to make sure that you come during term time or that we are not preparing for an upcoming concert.  We have 4 terms of 10 weeks, roughly the same as school terms.  We don’t hold auditions, but choir members are of course expected to be able to hold a tune and keep rhythm and so for this reason, there is a three-week trial period for both parties.
