Saxton Field is the result of the long-term vision of both Nelson City and Tasman District Councils.  A diverse range of hireable indoor and outdoor venues have been created to serve our regions’ sports clubs, community groups and event organisers of all needs, abilities and space requirements.

Saxton Field is Nelson Tasman’s 65-hectare sport and recreation park, situated between Nelson and Richmond, and just 12 minutes drive from Nelson Airport.  Walkways and playgrounds connect across the entire green space, making the park an easily accessible family destination.  Whether you want to walk your dog, learn or train for a sport, or be part of an event; Saxton Field is designed for all Nelson Tasman residents and visitors to enjoy.
