The Rover Car Club’s rooms are modeled to be a replica of an early garage complete with a range of restored, historic petrol pumps and a small museum of early motoring items.

The Rover Club hosts an annual Classic Car Day on the first Sunday of September each year.

Our Club has a meeting at the Clubrooms on the first Sunday in each month except January and a group of members is usually working there on some project or another on the middle Sunday of each month.

The rooms are complete with hall area, kitchen, toilets, library and spare parts areas.

The extensive grounds and rooms are regularly used by groups of visiting enthusiasts and motoring clubs who make Nelson their venue for a National Rally or similar.

Over the years we have built up a huge stock of new and used parts for all Rover vehicles.  There are even some parts suitable for the 1930s P2 and 3, but our main stocks are for the P4, P5 (B), P6 (B) and SD1 Mark 1 & 2.  They include nearly all glass (windscreens and doors) panels, doors, guards, instruments, mechanical, motors, transmissions, gearboxes, differentials, brakes and the list goes on.

The Club holds stocks of workshop manuals for most models, which are available for photocopying, reference and advice is free.  Our library also houses all sorts of magazines and reference books for the use of members.  We regularly receive newsletters and magazines from Rover enthusiasts around the world.

We welcome new members who own Rover vehicles, and this includes Land Rovers and we also have a number of members who are without Rovers but simply belong for the social link with a car club.  We have members from the top half of the South Island (Marlborough to the West Coast) as the next closest Club Branch is in Canterbury and then Otago completes the three South Island Branches.
