Playback is a non-profit charity set up in Nelson.  Our aim is to promote active healthy lifestyles in the community by providing kids with free sports gear and equipment from recycled donations.

“I have always had a passion for sports having represented Nelson in football, basketball, touch, cricket, and played for New Zealand in indoor cricket.  I was inspired to set up this business so that more people can experience the same opportunities that I’ve been given.  Every year sporting goods are given as birthday and Christmas presents, children outgrow sporting gear or change sports codes.  All of this old sporting equipment is often left lying around the garage of people’s homes.  Playback wants people to donate this unused sporting gear and equipment so that it can be redistributed to people who need it.” – Jack Morris
