Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua manages the assets, businesses and taonga on behalf of all registered Ngāti Rārua members.  We have both a board of trustees and an operational team.

Our journey is one of adversity and success.  We forged a new home and adapted to survive and thrive in the top of the South Island ‘Te Tau Ihu’.  For the past 22 years, Ngāti Rārua have travelled through settlement with the Crown and now we are setting off on a new journey.

We are moving towards the future, with a view to our past and meeting the aspirations of our tūpuna, our whānau and our future generations.

Today, Ngāti Rārua are courageous implementers delivering new solutions, always caring for our people and our places.  Our story is grounded in our values – it’s who we are, what we stand for and where we come from.

Our Board of Trustees contain professionals of whakapapa, history, finance, banking, governance, business, cultural and social realms.  Each one of our board members have whakapapa to Ngāti Rārua and are chosen by the registered members of Ngāti Rārua.

Our operations team are a skilled group of individuals who are employed to action the strategic intent of the board on behalf of Ngāti Rārua.
