Nelson Veterans Tennis Club is based at the Hope Tennis Club courts, situated in Hope Recreation Reserve, Main Road Hope.

There are 10 astro-turf courts and vets club day is Thursday morning from 9.30am all year round.

A committee member does ‘board duty’ to make up the matches for each period of play which lasts for 20 to 25 minutes.  A mixture of mens and womens doubles and combined doubles is provided.

On most days the ten courts are sufficient for all players to be on court at once, but there are a number of days each year when more than 40 turn up.  You can expect to play 5 or more matches depending on numbers and the weather.

Visitors are always welcome.  The visitors fee of $4 covers play for the day and a cup of tea or coffee plus a biscuit at morning tea.
