The Nelson Film Society – the home for those who love cinema!

New Zealand’s only alternative non-profit network of film exhibition.  As a predominantly voluntary organisation the Film Society plays an important role in bringing a diverse range of international films to this country’s screens.

The Nelson Film Society Season runs from March to October screenings are on Tuesdays – 6pm, usually at the Suter Theatre, Suter Art Gallery, Te Aratoi o Whakatu, 208 Bridge Street, Nelson.

Film Society membership is open to everyone, and full membership entitles you to free admission to all Film Society screenings throughout the year, anywhere in New Zealand.  Please note censorship ratings apply to all screenings and that most screenings will be open to members only.
