Nelson Bays Primary Health’s Immunisation Facilitation Service provides professional immunisation leadership in a collaborative partnership between Te Whatu Ora Public Health services, primary and community health organisations, including general practice, community pharmacy and occupational health providers.

This service will help with:

Timely immunisation is the most effective way to actively protect your child from vaccine preventable diseases e.g. measles, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, hepatitis B, mumps, diptheria, pneumococcal disease, haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) human papillomavirus (HPV), rubella, varicella (chicken pox), COVID-19 and influenza.

Childhood Immunisations are provided free to all children in Aotearoa New Zealand up to the age of 18 years old. Parents can protect their children by taking them for their free immunisations as per the New Zealand immunisation schedule. Talk to your general practice team to book in your whānau for their free vaccinations – adolescents and adults are also covered for certain immunisations – check with your general practice nurse or visit New Zealand Immunisation Schedule | Ministry of Health NZ
