​​​​​​​Squash is an indoor racquet sport played for over 180 years now.  45 minutes on the squash court is not only the best overall workout you can get, but you can be done and dusted in a lunch hour, all year round, rain or shine.

The Motueka Squash Club is Motueka’s best-kept secret, a community fixture for over 45 years with an active membership encompassing both social and competitive play, all levels from novice to A-graders, both men and women players, and outreach to juniors.

The Club invites everyone to its two courts in central Motueka, on the carpark behind Whitwell’s, next door to the Huia Rugby Club.

Ways to Play – We welcome new players!  Whether you’re passing through, visiting for an extended period, or live in town, whether you’re a newbie or a grizzled vet, there’s a way to get you onto the court.

If you’re squash-curious, come around to one of our social sessions:

• Thursdays at 6pm, a motley crew shows up for casual pickup games.  Turn up, introduce yourself and see how friendly we can be.
• For juniors in the local schools, Training for secondary students on Friday afternoons.  Equipment provided. Contact [email protected]

If you have a partner and just need a venue, how about a casual booking? They cost $8 for each player for a 45-minute session.  Keytags can be hired (with deposit) from Stirling Sports Motueka (across High Street, ph. (03) 528 9845) or the Motueka Recreation Centre on Old Wharf Road east of the clock tower (ph. (03) 528 8228).  Either of these fine establishments will also hire you rackets and balls.

To join the squash club, we have a variety of membership options, including individuals, families, juniors, pay-per-play, and short-term memberships, keyed to a membership year starting April 1.
