Ministry of Inspiration is revolutionising how we actively engage with the youth of today and challenge them to live up to their creative and innovative potential.
We seek to create a legacy of educational excellence by providing a platform for launching highly creative “outside the box” projects aimed at extending motivation and success in learning for young New Zealanders.
Today the world faces unprecedented challenges in every area: environment, international relations, technology, scientific ethics and law. Even highly capable young people can struggle to find direction and purpose – the motivation to make a difference in the world. Youth in smaller regional centers like the Nelson-Tasman area can often feel disconnected and isolated from what is happening in the larger world.
Ministry of Inspiration currently impact over 2,000 young people in the Nelson-Tasman region annually through its extremely popular programmes such as the INSPIRE Festival, NZ Aquabots competitions, Science and Computer summer camps, term break and weekend creative workshops, and Academic Quiz Nights.
All the Ministry of Inspiration programmes have student leadership components, mentoring our youth in roles beginning as task volunteers and progressing all the way to planning, hosting and even student-teaching at major inter-school events.
