Magenta is Nelson’s only free, walk-in fully resourced arts studio, it is open to people living with mental illnesses, no referrals are required.

By offering this supportive environment many people have found their involvement in Magenta is a key to improved wellbeing. Magenta has a philosophy of inclusion and connection.

To attend simply come to the studio for a visit, meet our tutors and see if this something for you, there is no referral required. You are welcome to phone ahead of time, however this is not necessary.

The Magenta Studio is available for hire 4pm onwards Monday to Saturday, and all day on Sundays.
