The Kaiatawhai Nursing Service provides free support to people with barriers to health care and connects them to primary health care providers. Priority is given to Māori and Pacific peoples.

This service will help with:

  • Assessing your health concerns and helping you to set goals towards better health
  • Helping you to understand your health conditions and supporting you to access the services you may need
  • Working with your GP and other health providers to make sure you and your whānau receive the health services you require
  • Coordinating your health needs including referrals to appropriate health providers, community groups and organisations

How to access the service:  To access the service, you will be referred by your Māori Health provider, general practice (family doctor) or community agency.
