Our Club has seen great success in its time – from Premier championships, other grade and trophy winners, representative honours, along with many social outings.

Whilst proud of our competitive success we are founded on camaraderie and friendship and this has seen us as the largest non-school club in Nelson for many years.

Jacks Netball Club was founded in 1980 by the McCracken sisters; Lyndsay Hikuroa and Sue Martin.  Lyndsay’s husband Jack was the first sponsor – hence the name “Jacks”.  His legacy lives on with two of Jacks’s daughters continuing to play.

Jacks started with just one team and grew rapidly gaining a new team every year until reaching its highest membership with 15 teams in 1995.  We currently have ten teams from Premier down including four training and six social teams with ages ranging from 15 to 50 plus.
