Gymnastics Nelson is a not for profit community organisation located behind Nelson Intermediate School at the bottom end of Tukuka Street in Nelson.

Gymnastics Nelson is committed to helping children pursue an active & healthy lifestyle in the Nelson Tasman Region. Gymnastics Nelson is an affiliated member club of the sport’s governing body, Gymnastics New Zealand and is run by a committee of volunteers together with an admin team and coaching staff.

Gymnastics Nelson has classes to suit every age and ability, which includes:

Gymnastics is not just about sport, it is about learning to move and moving to learn. Gymnastics teaches all of the fundamental movement patterns associated with improved physical development, cognitive learning and both social & emotional development. Research shows that there is a strong correlation between fundamental movement and healthy brain function. Gymnastics therefore has both physical and non-physical benefits, the resulting attributes of which help with any sport or physical activity that individuals decide to pursue.
