Our beautiful rural-coastal Tasman–Kina community, with around 550 households, is vulnerable to natural hazards. Our emergency plan helps us be self-reliant and resilient when disaster strikes — because in a major event, first responders may not reach us for days.

If you need to evacuate or reconnect:

• Tasman Church/Community Civil Defence Centre, corner Aporo & Williams Roads – main hub. Some fenced land is available for pets (not livestock), and there are options nearby for stock
• Tasman Motor Camp, 55 Aporo Road – only to be used as a safe area if a large tsunami (>2m) is predicted
