The main aim of the group is fostering and encouraging artists at all levels. Our meetings are an opportunity to see or hear about an aspect of art, workshops help hone skills, and Group exhibitions get your art into the world. There are many smaller groups that get together in Nelson to do art together, organized by members, or shared by members who attend. Art Group Nelson is a great way to continue to  learn tips and skills, to get involved in Nelson’s rich art community, and to socialize with other artists.

There is no selection process for joining the Group and all members are welcome to display their work in Group exhibitions.

​The Group is a mix of beginners, hobbyists, and professional artists. All are welcome.
