Yoga for the Stiff and Sore

Yoga for all ages focusing on stretching legs, back, spine and shoulders


I call my classes “Yoga for the stiff and sore”, because so many people are tight.

They may have a sedentary life or be quite physical (cycling, running, walking, gardening)  and find it hard to bend/twist/squat/kneel without feeling stiff or sore. I find most people have not previously understood the value of  stretch, but now want to!

These people (YOU and I) typically have stiff shoulders, upper backs, hips and pelvis with a corresponding upper body and core weakness.

I aim to have fun with people as they discover how to open their hips and spine, strengthen shoulders and core while using breath to let go into the movement.

About Jacqui: I’m a  currently practicing Physiotherapist and have taught Yoga in Richmond for 12 years, and in Golden bay for 10 yrs.

I became a certified Yoga teacher training at Hot Yoga in Nelson in 2009.

I now teach several weekly Yoga classes in my home studio each of the 4 school terms, and by agreement during summer holidays.
