I call my classes “Yoga for the stiff and sore”, because so many people are tight.
They may have a sedentary life or be quite physical (cycling, running, walking, gardening) and find it hard to bend/twist/squat/kneel without feeling stiff or sore. I find most people have not previously understood the value of stretch, but now want to.
Many of us typically have stiff shoulders, upper backs, hips and pelvis with a corresponding upper body and core weakness.
I aim to have fun with people as they discover how to open their hips and spine, strengthen shoulders and core while using the breath to let go into the movement.
