Description

Who: In the heart of the beautiful Nelson region Motueka Club caters for juniors men and women competitive players and those looking for 'just for fun' - or high energy social games.

We have a Div1 Div2 and Div3 Men's interclub team a Div1 and Div2 women's interclub team and a Div1 and Div2 junior interclub team.

Each year we participate in a challenge with Takaka for the "Horses Arse" Trophy. We also have 5 tournaments a year. Pre season, Motueka Junior J Grade 1 dayer, Motueka D and Below 1 dayer, Motueka Open and Club Champs. For dates please contact the Club. At the end of interclub we run a ladder challenge or a league.

What: There are 2 courts adjacent to the Huia Rugby clubrooms.

Where: We are located in behind Whitwells Menswear in the main street of Motueka.

When:

Primary Juniors run on Tuesday from 4.00pm - 6.00 pm, Secondary school juniors on Friday 3.30-5.00pm.
There is also an Advanced junior training group run by Nick Wiffen (A2) on Mondays at 7.30pm-8.30pm.
There are roughly 26 juniors registered with currently 2 Juniors in the 'A' Development squad 3 in the 'B' squad and 2 in the 'J' grade squad. We participate in the Wellington Junior Open, District Challenge and the Nelson Age Group Tournament.

On Friday nights, the club runs a social teams event. PAR rules and 1/2 hour play. Each round lasts for six weeks.
