Description

Nelson Hockey provides a winter tournament based at the Saxton Field Complex where our 2 artificial surfaces are located. We have approximately 1000 members that play winter hockey for about 10 different clubs with grades for 5 year olds up to the masters grade of over 40 years.
We also have summer 6 aside league and a school children's summer hockey programme.
Nelson hockey promotes the sport of hockey in as many local schools as possible.
We have an awsome umpires coaching programme that is providing us with quality and experienced umpires in all age groups new umpires are always welcome and will be well trained and supported.
We have very successful masters teams that compete nationally and we have representative teams in all age groups that compete with great success in the national tournaments.
New players can enter the sport of hockey at any age and are always welcomed.
