Description

Altrusa International Inc. of Nelson is a group of people who are leaders in service supporting our community with service and leadership.

We meet on the second (2nd) and fourth (4th) Wednesdays of each month except January in the Staff Room at Victory School.

We are a volunteer organisation recognising needs in the community and meeting them with practical support and service. Our wider focus is literacy and encouraging self development.

One of our local projects is Altrusa House situated in the grounds of Nelson Hospital and used by families of out-of-town patients. It is fully utilised on a day-to-day basis and managed by a board of trustees.
