Description

John offers vital emergency care and community care services including: • Emergency ambulance and hospital transfers. • Emergency care and first aid cover at community and sporting events. • Friends of the Emergency Department (FEDs) – volunteers supporting patients and their families in the Nelson Hospital Emergency Department. • Health Shuttle - transporting people to and from medical appointments • First aid training and health-related products and services to the community. • Safe Kids programme - teaching young people, from pre-schoolers to teenagers, how to respond to emergencies including basic first aid. • Youth programme - developing young people aged 6 – 18 into responsible young adults who are self-reliant and community aware. • Caring Caller friendship service - offering those who are housebound, or live on their own, daily contact by phone with someone who cares about them.
