Description

The Foundation of the Blind provides its members with support advice one-to-one instruction and access to specialised equipment to enable them to maintain their independence.

We also provide volunteer help social activities talking book service and guide dog services.

There is no cost to join all that is required is a referral from an optometrist or eye specialist (some criteria relating to visual acuity & fields of vision must be met to qualify for membership).

We have two main Fundraising Appeals each year: Guide Dog Appeal (April) & Blind Week (late October).
