Description
Neighbourhood Connections supports individuals who have an ongoing disability. Our clients include people who have an intellectual disability, people who have an autism spectrum disorder, people referred through ACC following serious injury and people disabled through long-term illness. We also offer support to young people who have challenging behaviour.
Our support worker assists the person with whatever is needed to develop and maintain a stable and safe lifestyle. We help increase skills needed for maximum independence, maintain and strengthen relationships with family and friends, access and maintain community links and networks, teach skills of daily living, access vocational, educational, social and recreational interests, and find and maintain an appropriate living arrangement.
