Description
Canteen is a peer support organisation for young people aged 13 - 24 years living with cancer. This includes siblings and bereaved siblings. It is a place where teenagers can share their experiences and feelings of doubt and anger with other young people who know what it is like to have cancer to have a sibling with cancer or have had a sibling die from cancer. It is a place where patients can share experiences about treatment the nausea loss of limbs or hair the possible loss of life.
Young people may think they are invincible but CanTeeners know as they embark on their journey into adulthood that although we may plan our futures nothing in life is certain.
