Ngatimoti School’s Board of Trustees has recently developed a strategic plan for the years ahead, which includes a review of our school charter and strategic educational goals. The Board is actively working towards strategic goals that reflect the schools rural and family flavour with an emphasis on positive relationships and positive attitudes towards life-long learning, numeracy, literacy, the arts, physical activity and environmental and outdoor education. We encourage parents to be involved in their children's education, and we often draw on the expertise and knowledge of others in our local community to enhance students' learning. Our school is a focal point for the community, and is well supported by it. The school is also fortunate to have the backing of an enthusiastic Board of Trustees and Parent Group. We aim: • to employ high quality staff who will engage in professional development and share and apply their learning to ensure the success of the school’s students. • for the Board of Trustees to work with a clear strategic focus and have in place systems and documentation to enable excellent governance. • together with the support of the community, to always explore opportunities for improvement.
