Description

The Friends of the Nelson Library committee holds monthly book sales (first Saturday each month) held at Elma Turner Library 10am - 12.45pm. We organise speakers - usually a series of 4 to 6 talks, one a month, on a variety of interesting topics. We make a substantial annual donation to the City Council for Library use, plus fund other items from time to time during the year, eg. new toys for the Children's Library & zimmer frames. A quarterly newsletter is produced as well. We hold relaxed committee meetings the third Wednesday of each month (10 am) at Elma Turner Library.
