Volunteer Nelson's mission is to connect people to their community through volunteering. We offer a range of suitable placements for volunteers, regularly advertise for volunteers, recruit for specific jobs and provide training education and resources for volunteers and voluntary and community groups.
Volunteer Nelson offers information and advice, advocates on behalf of volunteers and promotes volunteering in the community.
We are a member of Community Workers Training and Support, administer the Found website and manage the Community Support service.
We provide reception for the Community Groups Centre at 50 Halifax Street and accept room bookings for hire of meeting room space within the building.
