As the local branch of the national organisation SOBA we encourage people to recognise and choose between different styles of beer.Also to support the smaller breweries to get, maintain and increase their market share, despite the pressures put on them by the two major breweries. Here in the Top of the South we have more choice than any other part of NZ.

Marchfest held at Founders Park is the main event and an inaugural Home Brew competition is to be held in September 2011. We encourage responsible drinking.
