Description
VCHC is based at the Community Centre which is located on the campus of Victory Primary School.
This Centre is a unique partnership between the school and the community engaged in the provision of services and activities which enhance wellbeing in all aspects.
It is a combination of education at all levels, health, social, recreational, cultural and environmental engagement.
Meetings of the Committee are held monthly.
The Centre employs five part time people:- Gareth Cashin Centre Co-Ordinator Penny Molnar Be Well Community Nurse, Jocelyn Winters, Garden Coordinator and Educator, Keryn Russ, Bookkeeper and Kindra Douglas Centre Manager.
A wide range of health and social service agencies offer themselves regularly to the community.
"Victory on the Move" is a programme of activities, workshops, classes and events for all to enjoy.
We publish an 3 monthly newsletter called Victory Village News about events and activities in the whole community.
Victory Village was awarded the inaugural NZ Community of the Year 2010.
