Description

The Brook Waimarama Sanctuary Trust is working to create an outstanding wildlife sanctuary on Nelson City Council-owned land at the head of the Brook Valley.
Funds are being raised to surround the sanctuary with a pest-proof fence eradicate the pests within it and then reintroduce species like kiwi yellowhead and saddleback.
This will be a resource for conservation education and tourism and a chance for people to get involved in practical conservation on their doorstep.
