Description

Nelson Film Society meets weekly from Mid-March to Mid-October to show carefully selected films from many countries and cultures that might not otherwise be screened in Nelson. It also seeks to re-acquaint the public with great films from the past and screens some New Zealand films of special interest. Each year an attempt is made to screen a film from the silent era with musical accompaniment and a guest lecturer is sought to introduce any special filmic event. A sociable meeting time is spent before each screening with refreshments available.
