Nelson Miniatures Club meets monthly (usually the third Saturday) to promote the making of dollshouses and miniatures. Full membership is $25 per annum, while casual visitors pay $5 per day. Members may bring their own projects to work on, but there are usually kits available for small items of furniture and accessories, often depending on what the current larger project is. The club owns machinery and has a good library of books and magazines about miniatures. Every other year the club mounts a public display which includes sales and workshops and activities for children. The next show will be in July, 2012 at the Stoke Hall. Proceeds go towards the cost of bringing in tutors from outside to teach members new skills. Members receive a monthly newsletter and meetings are advertised in the What's On column in The Leader. New members welcome.
